A full-service consultancy holds an annual all-hands meeting in Atlanta to share targets and messaging for the year with over a thousand busy consultants.

Challenges

A global consultancy with a dispersed workforce is regularly contracted to provide training and reinforcement solutions across all of the industries and disciplines. To add unique value to client engagements, the consultancy sought a differentiating technology solution. The test for Ringorang was to see if their own consultants – from account managers to executive-level consultants – could be engaged by this learning and reinforcement system; and if it could prove critical company information was measurably recalled after their annual meeting. If it worked, the consultancy would adopt the technology for the benefit of their clients.

Requirements

The goals and constraints of the post-event engagement are as follows:

  1. Reinforce the key messages in a post-event challenge to last 2 weeks
  2. The consultancy would create a curriculum to be refined and formatted by Ringorang
  3. Engage consultants of all levels in daily learning and recall
  4. Take no scheduled time out of the participants’ daily routine to achieve engagement and recall

Solutions

Busy consultants have little time for anything, especially training. Regardless, they are expected to meet goals and be knowledgeable about a host of subjects. The post-event Ringorang program was ideally suited to re-deliver critical information initially delivered at the Annual Meeting, but this time in bite-sized pieces that were gamified as a national competition. The consultancy made assumptions on how much participation could be achieved based on previous test pilots of technologies across their firm. But Ringorang was different. This required no time to speak of. And it was incentivized and fun. The program was called “What’s Your Hi-Q?” and engaged participants for two weeks on their personal mobile devices with 5 Qs delivered daily for 8 days.
